The Carbon County Collaborative had their 12th annual breakfast on Friday April, 21st. The food was delicious, and the program on businesses talking about important issues to Carbon County's present job availability and job seeking strategies were very informative.

We had our first co-hosted event with Lehigh Valley Health Network last week. The Participate-Simulate-Educate event was held at the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Center for Healthcare Education, and this state-of-the-art facility creates top-notch educational opportunities for clinical and nonclinical colleagues.

This event was exceptionally informative for it's participants. The day included multiple sessions for educators to learn more about specific careers in healthcare and had several rotations in smaller rooms for simulating what a day in the life of certain healthcare careers would resemble. This event will be offered to two nominated students for each participant which will offer important insight into healthcare career pathways. Allowing for them to broaden their horizons as they plan for their future career in healthcare.
